SAE SoCal “Lessons in Automotive Quality”
SAE SoCal advances automotive education and workforce development by connecting student learning with real-world industry needs. Through local events, collegiate chapter support, and hands-on programs, SAE SoCal supports emerging technologies such as electric vehicles and autonomous systems while helping students build practical, career-ready skills.
By partnering with local universities, hosting technical sessions and career fairs, and collaborating with organizations like the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and SAE SoCal, SAE SoCal helps students develop both technical knowledge and essential soft skills—preparing the next generation of engineers and technicians for a skilled, adaptable mobility workforce.

Long Beach Model T Club Hill Climb Event
The modern Hill Climb brings back a historic Southern California racing tradition (originally held from 1956 to 1979) to tackle a 22% grade on a steep city incline. The 2026 event also serves as a celebration of the United States 250th Anniversary.

Pit Stop with Pop-DSFS Car Show
This is an event dedicated to foster youth and fathers. We are supporting the Los Angeles county Department of Children and Family Services with cars that will be part of the Car show, and all makes and models are welcome. This event is not open to the public, but those who can bring a car are welcome to volunteer and enjoy the event. Please reach out if you’re able to bring a car.
DSF Field Trip-Adam's Motorsports Park
Adams Motorsports Park is a family-friendly, beginner-friendly environment. Each session will be divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced. If you have never been on a track before, this is the perfect place to start!
$5.00 Entry, $45.00 per session to drive on the track
You can drive on the track, spectate from the stands, or sit as a passenger for a “ride along.”
If you pay $20.00, you can ride as a passenger on a track, aka “ride along.”

Celebration of the Young Child
The City of Long Beach will host the seventh annual Celebration of the Young Child from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Downtown Long Beach. This free event provides hands-on activities and features over 50 community partners who provide services and resources for children up to 8 years old.
The event will be located at Billie Jean King Main Library and at Lincoln Park, which is adjacent to the library. Free parking will be available in the Civic Center parking garage located at the corner of Broadway and Chestnut Avenue.

DSF Mobile Werks- Field Trip Conservation Corps of Long Beach
In partnership with the Conservation Corps of Long Beach, DSF Werks brings hands-on automotive education directly to the community through our Mobile Basic Car Maintenance Werkshop.
Participants learn essential car care skills such as checking fluids, changing tires, and understanding basic vehicle safety in a fun, supportive, and empowering environment.
